A new client website

Hi all. This is my first site submission to this forum. Just did this site for a client and thought I would get some good suggestions/feedback from here. It isn't 100% percent finished as there are some things to check/fix and improve, but mainly the design is finished. Hope to hear lots of critics.

The site:

Ah I like it.

Not to keen on your font selection though for things like Why IT-TEL and, unfortunately, most headings throughout the site. I wouldn't go changing it all though, I'm just picky on fonts.

Nice color selection, reds a very eye-grabbing color and I am first drawn the the header. Which is fine. :)

Maybe use a bit more of the red in the website though.

Looks really good and very well done.

Only other thing I can recommend to you is to validate your pages, make sure they are fairly spot on.

http://validator.w3.org/ and http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/

Always good to have valid source.

Thanks for the nice comments, appreciate it.

The font selection would have been nicer with a custom font, that's for sure. I'll see what I can do to improve, definitely.

For the validation you're totally right. I've been rushing it a bit (client deadlines) and didn't have time to go for that. Most of my markup errors are from the flash objects which are placed using just dreamweaver (and it kills the markup). I'll definitely fix those and also some missing alts and stuff.

Thanks again for taking the time.

I like it.. very nice and clean :)

I second the validation comment. The only other thing is the location of the login on the home page. Looks rather strange being in the bottom middle (as traditionally speaking logins are usually in the upper right side / corner. I woudl consider swapping the position of this panel with the one to its right (swap positions). Even better however, would be to integrate a login field along the top somewhere.. that way, no matter which page you're one, you can login without having to absolutely be on homepage.

What is the other language flag icon? Perhaps having a tooltip popup that displays what the langauge is. Looks (swedish?)

Other than that, I like it.. light and clean. Good one :)

Cheers,

NRG

Actually, the login was implemented in the last moment. It was (and still is) in a subsection of the website, but the client wanted it in the frontpage too. I like the idea of having it at the top, even though there isn't too much room there. Anyway thanks for the suggestion, i'll definitely consider it.

The other language flag is for "Albanian". I'm a native Albanian and such is the company :)

Thanks for commenting.

All in all it looks good. If I could change only one thing, it looks a little boxy to me. I realize the importance of having seperated boxes for each area, it just looks like a lot of boxes stuck together. Maybe rounded edges, increase your scheme... All in al, it's very nice...

It is a grid layout, so it has to be boxy. As for the rounded edges, I like and I use them but with very very care as inappropriate usage ruins the design. In this case I (and most importantly the client) am ok with the "boxy" look. Anyway thanks for suggesting.
