Add line numbers to CODE brackets?

Yes it is possible and can come in handy come to think of it, I have a few ideas that spring to mind. However as previously stated the Admins do not wish to install multiple modifications as this is will require more maintenance, especially when upgrading.

You could suggest this feature to the developers of SMF.

If there is a readily available mod that's compatible then I won't mind installing it. I'm not going to dive into the code and do it myself though.

There is one available however when you copy the code, you also copy the line numbers!

The mod is available here. It Works fine with 1.1.6 just tested it.

Hmm... I don't like the way that mod handles the line numbers.

I don't really think it'd be that useful. If the posted code is stupidly long, most of us don't bother to find the error anyway. And if it's not, it's more than likely that the code posted is a snippet from their file, which would screw up the line numbering anyway. Even if there were some offset option, I can't see people who don't bother to point out the line in question bothering to use this option.
