Also, the gradients above the header hurt my eyes. The stripes you mean? I think they're interesting, so I'd say keep 'em. The footer looks so unprofessional and unrefined though, there's no other way to say it. The footer should simply display copyright info or a tiny note or whatever, not take up half the screen. The footer still seems a bit too large for the tiny amount of text you actually have. Also, I'd change the font or center it or something, it seems too boring (the footer I mean). There's the bg image, then this random text. I think that your footer would look better if the text were centered. To me, other than that, it looks nice.
