Lamez
http://wubi-installer.org/index.php If you are interested in Linux, and you are a fan of Ubuntu, but always been afraid of corrupting your partition tables, then you need to try Wubi. I am installing it right now , well it is actually installing Ubuntu! I am excited Did I mention :D Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/128648-wubi/ Share on other sites

Maq
Nice def going to d/l. Is this similar to VMWare? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/128648-wubi/#findComment-668632 Share on other sites
Lamez
No, nothing like VMWare! It does the duel boot for you! All you do is start it, select how much disk space, login info, and desktop environments. Then it downloads the environment you chose, then it installs it, on the same disk, no new partitions. Then it ask you to reboot, it install the rest of Linux, then you login! I love it IT DOES NOT OVERWRITE YOUR WINDOWS INSTALLATION! IT SETS UP A DUAL BOOT! GingerRobot
Ubuntu's never caused a problem with an existing windows installation for me. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/128648-wubi/#findComment-668686 Share on other sites
corbin
Eww just figured out that it overlays over Wubi, thus making disc slower.... Ewww... I'll stick with just partitioning my self ;p. Lamez
It must be inexperience, but every time I install windows, then setup a dual boot with Ubuntu, my windows partition becomes corrupt. Or vise versa. I have even followed tutorials or blogs on this subject and nothing worked. Then I found this, randomly, I was not even looking for it. Anyways, I love it! corbin
Gotta make sure in the installation that you make sure it only touches the linux partition. ;p Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/128648-wubi/#findComment-668786 Share on other sites
