DeanWhitehouse
I think that threads which answer common problems, like mail problems, undefined index, undefined vars etc. should be made sticky so that new users don't keep posting the same problem not knowing what it is. Please, if this does prove that people want this, let us create either one thread answering a lot of these problems, or make some of the answered threads sticky? bobbinsbro
agreed. also, have mods create a script that will prevent ppl from posting new topics unless they thoroughly googled/researched the problem themselves beforehand! seriously, half the info i give ppl is obtained by 5 seconds of googling! and i'm a bloody php newbie compared to some (most ) ppl here! revraz
Shouldn't suggestions should go in the Suggestion Forum? And look at the Header sticky. It's up there and people still ask what it is. DeanWhitehouse
Yes i suppose, but a lot more people ask about syntax errors. And i believe this thread is better here so new members can answer it as well, as they most likely don't look in the other sections. Maq
Well before the day is done this thread won't be visible on the first page of new posts. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/131681-sticky-threads/#findComment-683999 Share on other sites
DeanWhitehouse
Mods, how many votes would you want before you create a sticky post with help for syntax errors etc. ???? wildteen88
We already have a place setup for this which is the FAQ/Code Snippet Repository. Unfortunately allot of people over look that board. wildteen88
Is it too hard to look at the forum index? I though there was already a sticky in this board redirecting to the FAQ/Code Snippet Repository... umm seems to have disappeared Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/131681-sticky-threads/#findComment-685410 Share on other sites
