Hidden Folder

I am sorry but I didn't know where else to post this.

 

I havehidden a folder with all its contents in it in my documents by going:

 

Right click-Properties and clicked hide then hid all the subfolders and files. I cannot find the files or folder (Obviously) How do I make it visible again? I have even tried control panel folder options and that.

 

 

Please help.

 

You can delete this after I find out how

maybe a windows forum..........................

any way go tools > floder options > view(a tab)

find the thing saying 'hidden files and folders" in the list

and select show hidden files and folders

To unhide a file/folder. First do what ratcateme said so hidden files/folders are visiable. Next find the file/folder you want to unhide and right click on it, select Properties from the menu. Now uncheck the Hidden checkbox.

If you get really desperate, you could just use attrib (cmd line).

 

 

Something like:

 

cmd

cd \path\to\files

attrib -H <files>

You could also copy the contents of the folder to a new folder.  To access the folder just use the address bar in explorer

 

c:/documents and settings/username/my documents/hidden folder
