ded
What I am doing is reading a record from table1. I then want to count(*) within table2 that has table1.rrn = table2.tournamentid Then, if count > 0 then I load information onto the website. $query2 = "SELECT COUNT(*) as total FROM `2009` WHERE `rrn` = 'tournamentid'"; $result2 = mysql_query($query2) or die(mysql_error()); if($result2 >= 0) { ........ It is not working.....any ideas? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/146052-count-help/ Share on other sites
farkewie
Not working? how is it not working? whats happening? are you getting errors? what is the 'tournamentid' value? is that exactly how your script is? because if it is you are only matching results with the word tournamentid. you may want to post more code. Maq
$result2 will just give you the resource ID for the query, I think you want: (if there are 1 or more rows returned) if(mysql_num_rows($result2) >= 0) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/146052-count-help/#findComment-766740 Share on other sites
