subdomain clone?

Hello guys. I have a situation, but I can't explain it, so I will give an example;

I have a subdomain of a domain, for example: mysite.site.com/site.php

Is it possible to buy a domain where as instead of "mysite.site.com", it just says "site2.com"?

I think this can be done with dns, but can somebody put me in the right path?

Thank you,

What is your goal for doing this? Just out of curiosity.

If it is for SEO reasons...well that can get you banned from google. As far as doing it look into Addon Domains, as that is what this would be considered. Your host may support/offer the addon domain to you.

For site2.com, add CNAME records for site.site.com.

Where do I get this CNAME thing from? site2.com's control panel or site.com's control panel

Also: Does godaddy support this CNAME records change?

Thank you, as I am a noob at this.

They would most certainly support it, but they might have called it something else. You'll have to consult your control panels' help pages to figure it out.

Thanks for the reply,

I'm gonna buy a domain name from godaddy. I hope their control panel has a cname records edit, right?
