agd3103
Hi I'm brand new to Linux and am trying to install kicker and ksmserver to enable advanced desktop on my asus eeepc. I am getting this error: dpkg: parse error, in file '/var/lib/dpkg/available' near line 3013 package 'libqt3-mt': 'Replaces' field, missing package name, or garbage where package name expected E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (2) I've looked at the sequence over and over again in sudo kate and cannot even guess at what might be wrong. Any help would be most welcome. Thankyou. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/158841-advanced-desktop/ Share on other sites
Daniel0
Maybe the package file is corrupted. Try downloading it again. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/158841-advanced-desktop/#findComment-839435 Share on other sites
Maq
Would be nice to know what your setup is. I've never seen this problem before, did read this on a couple forums: Try with a sudo dpkg --clear-avail && sudo apt-get update Hope it helps.
