.josh
sure, I'll walk you through it...walk you to the nearest bookstore, that is. I suggest you get yourself a good php for beginner's book and start on page 1. .josh
yes, I am. The not nice version would be more like this: Dude, nobody is going to hold your hand from square one to only the way where you need to be to do what you want to do. Nobody is going to bother investing any kind of time or charity in someone who cannot be bothered to even learn the basics by themselves, much less what you are asking for. If you are really serious about doing this, go buy a book. Read tutorials starting with "hello world," as you go, if you have a specific question, ask. But not if you're gonna ask something like this. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/167882-maintenance-mode/#findComment-885480 Share on other sites

Philip
back to the original question - you can store the value in mysql/flat file and have it check every page load to see if the site is in maintenance mode... or I prefer using .htaccess if applicable Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/167882-maintenance-mode/#findComment-885580 Share on other sites
