I've been dealing with PHP (or trying to) for about 2-3 months now, and I'm still getting stumped on the easiest things. For the most part it's been trial by fire for me, however these forums have helped me immensly so far in developing my PHP skills. Look up some basic tutorials, create some basic scripts, and then plan out what you want to do with PHP. Try to do whatever you can by yourself, and if you become hopelessly stuck or confused somewhere, feel free to ask. It's worked thus far for me.. and though I'm still moving my site along at a snail's pace, I'm learning PHP as I go and each time I create a script I get less, and more minor problems because of it. Just start making scripts from tutorials, take bits and pieces of different tutorials to make something. If you have trouble, post here for help. redarrow Posted August 9, 2006 Share Posted August 9, 2006 i like php and iam a learner and been learning for 1 year know and i still do a lot wrong but it's all fun.i used the link that thorpe gave you and that was grate then i got books and books and books out at amazon.the process learning php is slow and sometimes relly hard but as time goes on it gets easier, i have also used visual dvds and meny free tutorals.know as time goes on i bash me head aginst the wall beacouse i curently learning php , mysql, html, javascript,css just to get php right so take your time and good luck. I started out very simple and then gradually became fairly fluent with HTML (I'm definatly not an expert)... Then I slowly started messin with PHP...
