Why do some search forms record the mouse x and y coordinates?

Recommended Posts

Why do some search forms on the web record exactly where your mouse has clicked?

E.g:

http://www.example.co.uk/process.php?search=iamlookingforsnoopy&x=18&y=6

It cant be for security, as some people press enter, and you could randomly generate those variables anyway.

Any one know?
