Garethp
I just started up my business (Well, I started it up a few months ago for tax purposes, but I just got the website up) and I was wondering where people would recomend I advertise. I was thinking of advertising myself in the freelance section, but that won't get me much business I think, so I came here to ask you people Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/178113-question-to-other-php-freelancers/ Share on other sites
Philip
You'd actually be surprised on how many hits qualified people get in the freelancing section. I know of one that got a full time job from it, and a few that have gotten a lot of smaller jobs (but they were recurring clients) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/178113-question-to-other-php-freelancers/#findComment-939247 Share on other sites
Garethp
That's cool. I just posted there. But where else should I post, because I don't really know any other places that even talk about PHP Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/178113-question-to-other-php-freelancers/#findComment-939340 Share on other sites
Philip
I typically aim for local businesses whenever the market allows so (when you dont have 50 other web devs going after the same client.) You could always do the developer auction sites - I've heard some good things about http://www.getafreelancer.com/, but never used them myself. I'm kinda curious what others suggest too Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/178113-question-to-other-php-freelancers/#findComment-939344 Share on other sites

Garethp
Thanks. I fixed the include issue about 10 minutes ago Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/178113-question-to-other-php-freelancers/#findComment-939355 Share on other sites
jcombs_31
I get deterred once I see what people bid on most jobs. I can't work for the wages that some others seem to be happy with.
