EdN
I just installed Fedora 12 from a DVD . The process completed without incident. I then inserted a DVD into my internal drive and nothing happened. I then logged out and logged in again as root, and tried again-same result; nothing! Could it have something to do with the new PolicyKit? I didn't have this problem with Fedora 11. trq
Have you tried mounting the dvd manually? Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/186780-fedora-12-doesnt-detect-internal-dvd-drive/#findComment-986653 Share on other sites
EdN
Yes, it mounts manually, but it's not as convenient. I'd still like to know why the DVD drive isn't automatically mounted and displayed when a disk is inserted as happens in F11. I'm pretty sure the problem has something to do with authorization via PolicyKit. premiso
You can do a shell script on start to auto mount it. Just an fyi Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/186780-fedora-12-doesnt-detect-internal-dvd-drive/#findComment-986681 Share on other sites
trq
Sorry, I'm not a Fedora user so I'm not even sure how its auto-mounting works. Do you have an autofs service and is it running?
