MDanz
I've done a copyright to my website. To protect it further do i obfuscate the source code? is it necessary? or shall i just leave it with the copyright. Adam
No point. All you're doing is making it a little more awkward for them - they'll get if they want it. JonnoTheDev
It is damn near impossible to obfuscate HTML source on the client side for all browsers, as Adam stated if someone wants it they will get it. You could just run a WGET command and I will have a copy of your website if you haven't blocked that program. seventheyejosh
"Obscurity is not Security" Don't remember where I first heard that, but it is true. I feel like Daniel0 may have said it a few times around here... EDIT: This is a good read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Security_through_obscurity EDIT 2: Especially the "For" and "Against" arguments. Daniel0
"Obscurity is not Security" Not entirely, no, but it can make it more difficult for people. Same reason why you can't get the building schematics for the NSA HQ for instance.
