tendouser
I'm close to buy a notebook. I will buy a refurbished in USA and bring it to Panamá. I need at least 10 replies to comment about what's better: Thinkpad or Toshiba? I want to replace Windows for Linux in a future. Thank you guys! .josh
I had a toshiba satellite for a while. I liked it, except for the glossy finish that left a ton of finger prints all over it. But that's just superficial. As far as performance, I enjoyed it. Too bad my kids broke it :*( Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/234785-thinkpad-vs-toshiba/#findComment-1206717 Share on other sites
Pikachu2000
I've had 2 Toshibas, and I was pleased with both of them. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/234785-thinkpad-vs-toshiba/#findComment-1206719 Share on other sites
JonnoTheDev
I've had 2 Toshibas, and I was pleased with both of them. Me too, although the one I had from 4 years ago had better speakers than the one I have now which is only a few months old. gizmola
They are both solid vendors with a long track record. It's silly to base your decision on a thread here. As a developer, one of the things I wanted in my most recent notebook computer was a chip that supported virtualization, so I could run 32 and 64 bit virtualized operating systems on the notebook using sun virtualbox. My point is ... you need to have some criteria to get any meaningful feedback, otherwise you're just asking for anecdotes.
