tendouser
Is there any way to install Adobe software like Flash CS, Illutrator, Photoshop in Linux. I bought a refurbished Thinkpad and I want to rid out my laptop of Microsoft Windows in a near future. Thanks for you replies! Maq
Yes. Here are a few options/alternatives. - Some may run on WINE. I haven't used it in a while but heard it's greatly improved & supports many more programs. - Use a VM. - Use open-source alternatives such as GIMP instead of Photoshop. fugix
if you look into the ubuntu synaptic package manager, you should be able to find popular software ran on linux systems. you could also use a virtualbox to run windows software on linux OS Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/238906-ubuntu/#findComment-1227613 Share on other sites

Maq
about vectors and raster i can use open source but what about flash cs3?? javafx maybe?? It will definitely run on a virtual machine but I'm not sure about WINE. You will have to do some googling, here's a thread about it: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=626825 Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/238906-ubuntu/#findComment-1227620 Share on other sites

Maq
Good time for another question. What about JavaFX? Yep, JavaFX works perfect on linux. There are even some nice plugins for major IDEs like Eclipse and Netbeans.
