01hanstu
Hi, I used to use the php session to get the username of the user that was logged on and use that variable on our intranet. Recently we are having to redevelop the site, and we can no longer use this variable. Is there another way of getting the username of the user who is logged onto the computer? Thanks in Advance, Stuart

Pikachu2000
Wait a minute. Are you talking about getting the username that is logged into the computer's operating system? If so, then no, php can't do that.
01hanstu
Hi, Thanks for your replies. I have been able to get the username via the $_SERVER['AUTH_USER'] and was wondering if there was an other way, as users will no longer be authenticating via AD now. Cheers, Stuart
