raydona
Hi, I got this symbol ► from MS Word Symbols table. I couldn't find a HTML code for the symbol. I am using it as a pointer in a vertical list. When I load the file to the web server the symbol is replaced by ? The server obviously doesn't recognize the symbol. I don't want to use an arrow icon because it appears in a square frame and it's hard to merge the background colour of the square frame with the background colour of the list, so that only the arrow appears and not the square background frame. Any ideas to get round this problem. I'll be very grateful.
ManiacDan
Make a gif with a transparent background and use that. You can never guarantee that everyone in the world will be able to view custom microsoft-only characters.
