JamesBenWallace
I used to mess around with Html and Css a few years back. So I pretty much understand them.. But I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could start learning php pretty easily? Everything I Google just doesn't seem too solid. Is there any good books or websites? thara
www.w3school.com is better. If you want to learn php from scratch. follow this also www.php.net Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/266028-help/#findComment-1363233 Share on other sites

xyph
www.w3school.com is better. If you want to learn php from scratch. follow this also www.php.net I'd avoid W3Schools on principle alone. I suggest a good, recently published book. I can't recommend any in particular, but it's so much easier to trust a published book than a random web article. mikhl
w3schools can be a little outdated sometimes as they have no affiliation with any language, such as PHP. However, it is s good way to learn the basics. Just make sure you check everything, or atleast anything you are having a problem with on php.net. If PHP will be your first programming language, then I definitely suggest a good up-to-date book, using the latest version of PHP. This will teach you all the concepts you need to understand for coding. KevinM1
All you need to know about w3schools: www.w3fools.com Get yourself a decent introductory text (Larry Ullman is a solid author), and use PHP.net as a supplement.
