Okay.  So my boss asked me today what I thought of the website. Navagation, look & feel, etc.  So, I figured I would post the url here and let you guys feeler around with it too..

Boring... to be frank.  The simple use of color is a concept that should be applauded, however this site really doesnt hit the point.  The eye is not taken to any 'functional' paint in the page, let alone taken on a guded tour.  What i mean is that the eyes should be attracted to the content in a natural fashion yet in a process.  I want you to see this 1st and that 2nd sort of thing.

On top of that the sites code doesnt validate and the simplest of accessibility features are missing.

There is huge use of tables which seems pointless when using CSS.

I think that the ideas and concepts hold water...just needs a kener eye to details

Looks unstyled to me. No a:hover on links. The navigation menu looks unfinished, no bullets - just likes like a google ad bar. I also have something against 3-4 different font-sizes been used (could be just me).
Even the press-releases are unstyled and very very plain ( http://www.carlalbert.edu/press_release/open_enroll.htm )

I agree with the above two posts.  In addition I think the fonts look terrible. There's no real color or seperation of content.  As stated, there is no style.  The header image is also of poor quality.

I also have to agree with all of the above. Looks like you will have your work cut out for you :)

Ha ha! I don't have a lot of work cut out for me. They do ;) I don't think we will see much results in validation or design change.  I don't think they go for much validation, and they worked forever to get this design (which I agree with comments).  They are only willing to implant a better navigation.
