.josh
yes. let's cater to your windows tastes. Anyways... Don't you know using dark bg colors with light fonts hurts your eyes more? steelmanronald06
umm....your one of the few people in the world who does that.....well, one of the few programmers in this community. I may be an admin, but there are other things on this site that have a priority way higher than catering to your singular need of needing fonts because you can't change your windows theme Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/28284-give-the-forms-some-color/#findComment-129419 Share on other sites

ober
No one is attacking you. We just get a lot of requests for mundane things that don't add value to the community and only make our jobs harder in the end. .josh
<raises hand>well actually, i guess i was being rather sarcastic. So if by "attack" you mean answering a dumb question with sarcasm, then sure, I "attacked" you. It's nothing personal man. Put yourself in our shoes. That's like calling up your phone company and asking them to make the ring tones a lower pitch, to match barry white's voice more, just cuz you're into barry white. It's a silly question to ask. steelmanronald06
Exactly. It is just to complicated. Most places on the web go with default, so a majority of the users set to work with default, and that is the popular skin. We have to go with what the majority is using.BTW, don't bandy words with CrayonViolent :P He is like a rock...You will never win. Trust me, I know ;) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/28284-give-the-forms-some-color/#findComment-129646 Share on other sites
The Little Guy
Personally I think the forums are fine, the simpler it is the faster it will go, and the less you need to get used to a new look. One thing that could be thought of is leaving this theme, and add additional themes to the board.but here are some themes for when you change.http://themes.simplemachines.org/index.php?action=search;type=0- Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/28284-give-the-forms-some-color/#findComment-129953 Share on other sites
neylitalo
I'm willing to bet that there are more people in this world that leave their IE display & font settings where they are, as opposed to setting the background to black... unless I'm misunderstanding what you said. And note that CV did not say that it was a "dumb" question (although some might), rather, he said it was a "silly" question. wildteen88
Nowadays most modern browsers FF and Opera, not sure about IE7 - allow you to create user defined CSS styles for websites so you can change how a sites looks to your needs by adding you own custom CSS rules. ober
@ The Little Guy... we're quite aware of the themes that are available. But with a few of the mods that are planned, it would be nice to just have one skin to upgrade when the time comes.
