i need some help, im trying to make an external php file.

im using include to include it. im trying to make the selected navigation change depending on what page im on.

<?php include "includes/subnavi.php" ?>

however its constantly set to displaying link 2 as the selected page.

i have the class "selected" styled to just be black writing.

and "li" styled to underline blue text on hover over.

here's the subnavi.php file

<?php
if($_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] == '/home.php') {
?>

<div id="navi2" class="pngbg clearfix">
<ul>
<li class="selected">Home</li>
<li><a href="{url}/link2.php">Link 2</a></li>
</ul>
</div>

<?php
} else {
?>

<div id="navi2" class="pngbg clearfix">
<ul>
<li><a href="{url}/home.php">Home</a></li>
<li class="selected">Link 2</li>
</ul>
</div>

<?php
}
?>

The REQUEST_URI will be whatever you see in the browser, not counting the domain name or a #anchor. So are you sure that it should be comparing against "/home.php" and not "/{url}/home.php" (whatever that {url} value may be)?
