wtfsmd Posted January 13, 2007 Share Posted January 13, 2007 hey guys im trying to make it so i can use permissions for pages, 0 for not signed in, 1 for registered, 2 for admin.I know how to gather the information from my database with this code.
<?php$sql = "SELECT username, password, userrank FROM users WHERE username = '".$_POST['uname']."'";?>
now what i am trying to figure out is how do i post the information that i got from the database, specifically userrank, and make it a session.Here is my code on how i make the username and password into the session.
<?php $_SESSION['username'] = $_POST['uname']; $_SESSION['password'] = $_POST['passwd'];?>
it's probably something really easy and i just cant figure it out lol. Jessica Posted January 13, 2007 Share Posted January 13, 2007 are you calling session_start() at the beginning of each page? Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/33993-session-userrank/#findComment-159768 Share on other sites More sharing options...
