rgrne
<RANT>To everyone out there who designs websites: Please, please, please. please. PLEASE! STOP USING LIGHT TEXT ON DARK BACKGROUNDS!!!!! THIS IS THE HARDEST %#$%@ COMBINATION TO READ!And yet it seems to be more and more the rage. And no, I'm not an old fart with bad eyes or a nerd with coke bottle glasses!I was on a major corporate web site the other day, done by people who should know better, and found thatall their text was done as LIGHT OLIVE GREEN letters on a DARK OLIVE GREEN background. Later on I went to a major game site which boasted TEENY TINY WHITE LETTERS and a BLACK background! The only way I could read either of them without poking my face into the screen and spending 5 minutes decipehring each word was to HIGHLIGHT WHOLE PARAGRAPHS WITH MY MOUSE SO THAT THE BACKGROUND AND LETTERS REVERSED CONTRAST. FIE! FIE! A POX ON ALL THEIR HOUSES!A CURSE UPON THEM AND THE BRAYING DONKEYS THEY RODE IN ON!</RANT>There, that feels better. Think I'll try another one tomorrow

But you could probably create something so <rant> took on a style of TNR, font size big, font color bright, and blink. And the real cause of inaccessible web sites - the cause of the original rant - is that the people who paid for it never heard of user testing and/or hire artistic directors to supervise the look and feel of the web site and to hell with usability. moberemk
It doesn't validate in XHTML, and it doesn't validate in this forum. Shouldn't this be in the Misc. forum?Personally, I haven'y seen very many examples of that. Maybe I'm just lucky.
