Second, the website I'm asking everyone to look at, is just a demo, i.e. will be used in my resume (not designing, php and mysql). It is supposed to be a template website used for something along the lines of a blog. As of right now it is in the early stages of design, and in fact is not yet templated. AndyB Posted April 9, 2007 Share Posted April 9, 2007 I'd be interested in seeing the further development. The cursive stuff top right is a little difficult to read (but presumably significant). The grunge font links might need to be a little larger for legibility. Not sure if the full site is going to be monochrome but a very small splash or suitable red of orange might provide some visual interest/relief. I'm planning on leaving like that, but thank you for the response anyways. AndyB - I had planned on look at the size of the different fonts. I realize they are not the easiest to read, and I will probably either increase their size, or find a new cursive font. Same goes for the grunge font. I hadn't planned on adding much color, but I think I always had a plan for at least some color, as just black and white can be a bit boring. Thanks for the comments. mcspringer Posted April 19, 2007 Share Posted April 19, 2007 I don't know what you have updated after the previous comments, but in my professional opinion, you did pretty well. The layout is clean cut and organized. It's just hard to read with the color scheme. The image on the top is obviously vital in making the site look good and it does just that, makes it look good. Your links are very hard to decipher so maybe fine tune the graphics or choose a different style. Well done overall. I'd rate it a 6 out of 10 on a VERY strict scale for layout. So well done!
