siwelis
1 First, advanced search as not as easy to find as it should be, creating numerous unnecessary queries. Second, http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?action=post;board=11.0 try searching for "thumbnail" in the search box on this page. 2 It seems like the search function only searches pages you're on sometimes... browsers can usually do that, and more powerfully. Problem 1 can lead to frustrated visitors reluctant to return, problem 2 can lead to many unnecessary form posts, because people search for things getting 0 results, when there's really 100 results for example. The search option (in my opinion) should always search higher directories.
Daniel0
PHP Freaks is using a forum system called SMF. All bug reports, feature requests etc. should go to them.
bluebyyou
So what about an option on the advanced search to include only solved topics?
ober
No. We will not enhance the core search function. End of story. Talk to SMF if you want upgrades to it.
JasonLewis
isn't there a newer version of SMF out anyway? there up to like 1.1.3, the version PHP Freaks is using is 1.1.1. You going to upgrade?
