knowram
I am trying to do something like google maps where you can zoom in and out and move around. Anyone know what language they are using? Thanks Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/55183-solved-which-language/ Share on other sites
trq
I'm not sure what google are using exactly but Ide probably take a look at flash for that sort of thing. zq29
We've developed a similar bit of functionality for one of our clients - We heavily modified the open source OpenLayers, wrote mainly in JavaScript. skymanj
Yeah, mostly javascript should work well for that kind of thing. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/55183-solved-which-language/#findComment-278065 Share on other sites

knowram
SemiApocalyptic that looks really cool. I am looking for something like that that i can add a layer over the map that has custom info on it. Like adding pins in different locations with roll over tag windows like in google maps. do you know if that is possible with this? teamgrowth
Wikipedia has come up with a better version of maps and it is really convenient for navigation as well.
