random array value

Hi guys,

 

I am having a brain fart. I have done this before but need to generate random values from the array. I can get the key to echo, but not the value.

$randomAd = array("advertisement 1",
                "advertisement 2",
                "advertisement 3");

$listTotal = count($randomAd);
$randomize = rand(0, $listTotal);
echo $randomize;
?>

The function 'array_rand' may prove more efficient.  http://uk.php.net/manual/en/function.array-rand.php
