Drobilliard
Hello, I am currently trying to remote admin a pc but would prefer not to spend money on the likes of copilot. I have found a tool called RAT, which seams to be the sort of thing I am after, however a) I can't read german, and the instructions are in german, and b) I would prefer a tool that is installation and php based. does anyone know of a software like this? Daniel0
You could use TightVNC. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/82326-php-alternative-needed/#findComment-418433 Share on other sites
Drobilliard
Cheers, From what I can see Tight VNC isn't installable to a website, The Idea is to make it so the client won't have to install anything to receve remote assistance, i.e https://www.copilot.com/ but the software idealy needs to be php based. am I wrong in thinking that TightVNC isn't web based? I think you're misunderstanding the service offered at copilot.com - You still have to install client software on the computer. What you are asking is not possible with PHP alone. What you are asking is not possible with PHP alone. copilot has a browser plugin which is totally fine, it just needs to be self contained as our clients are rather dim, they wouldn't be able to handle double clicking setup.exe so I need to have it so it prompts them to install say an active X control or firefox add-on without it costing the silly amount copilot are charging, cheers for the reply, sorry about the delay I haven't been in over christmas. Also, the only reason PHP was mentioned is that I am more comfortable with PHP than say ASP and if the software was PHP based it would make it easier to understand from my point of view, I undestand that php couldn't do it alone.
