asmith
what will happen if someone set fake information for the domain WHIOS ? what it is called ? contact information ?
trq
It is against most domain registration providers TOS and they usually have the right to terminate said domain. You can usually pay a little extra to have an anonymous domain registered.
asmith
you mean for example for a fake address. they search if it is true or not ?
zq29
They probably don't go out of their way to search for the address you entered, but they will send you confirmation details through the post, so if they're using some kind of system to send these letters out that doesn't recognise your address you might have a problem. Also, if the envelope gets returned to sender... Why don't you want to put your address as the contact information? You could always use a company address - Before I started a company I used my Dads business address. I must admit, it's a bit off-putting having your home address on a domain name that anyone can look up I guess.
