jcombs_31
I'm putting together some BW logo ideas for a Court Reporter (also happens to be my aunt). Take a look and let me know if you like any of the concepts. The first represents a stenograph or stenotype keyboard that they use, at least based on my quick research. The second two are to represent the scale of justice which is on my law type sites. [attachment deleted by admin]
jos.
I think that it is almost there with the second one, although I have no idea what would kick it up. Is the lack of color intentional? Jos.
ober
Out of the 3 I'd go with the first one. I'm not overly crazy about any of them.
tippy_102
My vote is for #2. The third image is not very exciting, and the 1st is too obscure (unless you know what a stenotype keyboard looks like).
jcombs_31
I think that it is almost there with the second one, although I have no idea what would kick it up. Is the lack of color intentional? Jos. Well, for 1 I don't have a color palette yet that I want to use. And second, a logo should actually be able to work in just BW for any number of print reasons. I'm just trying to work on the concept and then fine tune it. These are basically rough drafts. Any other suggestions? I thought of trying another using a gavel of some sort but that seems like it would be more for a judge.
steviewdr
The second seems to be the standard logo for Court Reporting. http://www.ncraonline.org/ I like the first. Plain, simple and effective. Perhaps if you can break up the longer keys into two smaller ones. Have you any more ideas? -steve
jcombs_31
modification to #1 with a little soft color. Any thoughts? [attachment deleted by admin]

jcombs_31
Here is with the top edges sharp to look more like a keyboard, but not sure if I like it as much [attachment deleted by admin]
ober
I like the previous one.
steviewdr
Can you put a small fillet/round on the back edges. Probably 1/4 the radius of the full round to the front. -steve
jcombs_31
I think I'm going to use this one. [attachment deleted by admin]
