on the page where you display a website... how are you generating the image may i ask? Jus interested thats all... but I would say it would probably be better if you had 'overflow:auto;' on it, for example...

... is a massive image in length .. also in size (memory) .. won't it be a little too much to expect the user to download? especially those with usage limits ... not to mention the usage on your server?

 

Apart from that I think you're off to a good start, just needs some work... something seems to be missing...

it takes the site url, sends it to a php file on my computer, where i have a program set up to automaticly take a snapshot of the site, and then it uploads it to the server.

 

try clicking on said image.

if i had any server issues, i wouldn't allow that.

 

also, for those 3 people still left using dial up, if u want to see the full thumb you can wait, or you can click on the url, and see it in much smaller html form.

well i wasn't necessarily meaning dial-up .. i just mean users with usage limits on their broadband..

 

but fair enough.. did you make the program?

Registered, went to submit a website but apparently I entered an invalid URL, must need http://?? but then I clicked back and it lost everything I put so, probably wanna stop that.. but registered now and all seems to work well...
