I can view my email address under my posts when logged in, that is public. Other people do not have their email addresses showing under their posts. I must be missing something here because I know it does not take five minutes after I $_POST for my preference to be written to a database. I'd hate to have to put a fake email address to avoid spam harvesters that login and pick pocket as they please. :-\

I suppose a good question would be why.. as in why is the system inherently designed to reveal my email icon to be visible to myself? I know what my email is.

I can understand admins having access to my email... but when others are logged in, it makes no sense to reveal their own email icon to them (and thus, people are led to believe that their email icon is accessable to everyone.. thus the flood of complaints / confusion).

Bizarre system that is.

Cheers,
