asmith
i feel terrible for this thing. it is the second time i type a domain in the domain sites to check its availability, and i get its available, then 1 or 2 days after i pay the site for the domain, i receive mail from them domain is already taken. then i check that domain , i see yes, it is registered, and "they" have put some craps on that too. is there any kind of mafia going around it ? registering what you want so they could sell it again to you for a higher price ? Daniel0
Sometimes when you check availability it will get automatically registered after some time. You better purchase it quickly if you want it. I remember having read an article with some registrar admitting to do so, but I can't remember the link. I'll see if I can dig it up. It's better to do the whois lookup yourself (e.g. not via the web). bilis_money
i'm a reseller of domain names. the company provided me my own private and secured checking of domain names, a script provided by internic (their official script). Or my advice, there is a php script that can do that checking why not try it? asmith
hmm i had heard so many years before, someone registered Mcdonald domain. and then sold it to Mcdonalds for a good price. but having eye on customers-to-be domains and registered sooner so they could make an offer for it is so cheap to me. Like I said before, you can run `whois` and specify whatever whois server that you "trust"... read here.
