forumnz
I have created a design for a client. It is in the form of an image at the moment. www.designervision.co.nz/webuy2 The client wanted a clean, simple website. Colors: Orange/yellow, blue text. He wanted it similar to www.dhgate.com but more modern and appropriate. Is it good/bad? What would improve it? Thanks Sam
ILMV
It looks good, did you create all of that from scratch? or did you use a template? The catergories links could use less space though...
jcombs_31
Not bad, but to be honest www.dhgate.com seems more modern. You have too much white space in the logo area. The yellow you chose looks like a mustard yellow, you should try to change it a little I think . The content just doesn't seem to flow very well, first I see 2 home buttons on two menus at the top of the page, why? Your rounded corners on the second menu are clearly skewed. If you are using photoshop you have to be careful about resizing your boxes.
448191
Colours definitely need work. This blue/yellow combo is a bit icky. Echo jcombs on the corners. Also, the vertical space between the "blokka" and "adverts" boxes should match the vertical space between other boxes.
ChaosKnight
Try lighter shades of the colors... I also don't see a direct link to a cart of some sort, that'll also be really useful for clients... Layout looks good, the white space is nice, try and bring in other nice to look at logo's or banners, or try a bit more colors... No offence but I don't like the colors... dhgate looks more modern, has a better colorscheme, etc... Good luck with the rest of the development!
