I have recently redesigned my website, and would like critique: http://www.thecurbside.net/portfolio

Thanks in advance,

I like the design a lot, however you should try to make the "text", text, and not graphics. It leaves it slow to load and difficult to read.
Also, maybe polygon image maps to cover more of the appropiate area?

You have an image with some image maps. Nope, nothing to critique here. I don't get why you didn't use Flash to create this-it would probably work better for this type of style.

Thanks for the critique, but I also forgot to mention --

The design for right now is merely a mockup, as I am in the process of implicating CSS and some PHP into it.

That makes sence. Plus search engine spiders don't do too well with extracting text from images (they can't do it) so it would be very good to get some actual text in there. Please let us know when you get some more done with the site. This looks like a good start!

So? Does it really matter? Just because that's the sort of site that is considered popular doesn't mean that he has to design his site like that.

mob: nope. indeed not. Was just saying. He has the Transparency look and feel already there. I just wanted to point out other avenues.

Thanks guys --

Yes, I know spider's don't do that. I am going to make it actual fluid CSS and regular ol' text  :P Sorry for the mixup.
