Adam
Well today I had to give a presentation to 30 of the big bosses that I've been practicing for about a month now, scariest morning of my life! Finally done though and I did 'great'.. they said! Anyone else have to do stuff like that for work, or anything else?
trq
Funny you should mention it. I demo'd an early beta of my latest application on a big screen projector (10x6ft?) in front of a dozen or so big shots this morning. Not much fun, especially when they start picking it to pieces afterwards. That was however the entire point of the exercise.
Adam
Oh god, don't sound good! They're awful I think, I wasn't born to present!
jcombs_31
I not a big fan of presentations and trainings, but once you get through the first minute or two it becomes much easier.
ober
I have to do this type of stuff on a regular basis to both internal groups and to clients. After a while, it's like talking to friends. You just get used to it.
RichardRotterdam
I know the feeling I totally hate presentations the larger the audience the more nervous I get. It does depends a little who the audience is though. It used to be the same with performing in a band or on piano for me, but that's a little different since it's a bit like being in your own world where there is just an instrument and yourself at least for me.
