Looking at the website and your avatar - I see a resemblance and possibly even an expression of your interest in blood and gore - but the overall feeling of the website doesn't work for me. I remember back in the day when I bought a domain called "beastit.com" - not pornographic - and designed a sleek black design for it. It look really good until I tried out making designs on simple white. Turns out white is the best color to design around because anything flows with it. Better yet - white often eludes a positive and an enticing interest in the website from the user, something that we should all aim for. Just something to try out.

Possibly I got it all wrong and blood and gore is the theme of the website. If so - you hit the nail on the head with a decent design. However, keep in mind that my people like myself, find black as a poor design color.

I've been looking over the test design, and I was just thinking that I cannot really integrate white into the design easily.

I will never be able to make everyone happy, but I'd like to try, so does anyone have any tips for adding some lightness?

BTW

http://d9fans.freezoka.com is the new domain. :)

Right then:

1) The first rule of web design, make sure you have decent colour contrast, dark red on black? Not a good choice.

2) This isn't the 90's, get rid of the marque, it's ugly and expects my to read 1 word every 2 seconds.

3) You don't have a lot of content (that I can see), consider using a fixed width setup, aligned in the centre of the page. (e.g. 900px)

4) For your headers, don't use two different colours (the red on the first character).

I think in general you have a long way to go, you also need to think about what areas on each page need to grab my attention, because at the moment it's the back button.

Take it as constructive criticism :)

@Marquee: I just added that last night to see what it would look like. I dunno if that's a matter of personal preference, but I'll try and shift things so that I don't need it.

@Content: I am not in charge of the content because I am working on this in collaboration with someone else, while I could add some content, he is in charge of most of it. But when it has content hopefully it will be enough to keep it interesting.

What did you mean by fixed width? Just so that the main part of the page is centered more?

Okay, thanks for the feedback!  :)
