bundyxc
I'd like to write up a tutorial, and apply for it to be posted on phpfreaks.com, is that possible? Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/187845-creating-a-tutorial/ Share on other sites
oni-kun
I'd like to write up a tutorial, and apply for it to be posted on phpfreaks.com, is that possible? Well, sort of useless to ask this. You can always ask for a tutorial to be made but there may be a good chance it wouldn't be needed. corbin
There was a brief period in which users could submit tutorials, but as far as I know, users cannot currently do so (must be Guru or above). I could be wrong though. I searched the forum and couldn't find anything about it. I would wait until a mod or admin says you can't to give up, but I'm like 95% sure that you can't. Daniel0
Normally, there is no way for people outside the PHP Freaks team to submit tutorials. If you have written one that you think is good you can always send me an email. We'll make no promises of publishing it though. bundyxc
Thank you very much, I'll probably shoot you an email in a month or two, when I get the time to write up a quality tutorial. Adam
When you guys (the staff) write tutorials and publish on PHPFreaks, are you (officially or unofficially) signing over all usage rights to PHPFreaks? oni-kun
When you guys (the staff) write tutorials and publish on PHPFreaks, are you (officially or unofficially) signing over all usage rights to PHPFreaks? Don't we have a TOS? And yes, It would be of their best interest to hand the usage rights to the current administration, I doubt they'd want to be blammed with possible copyright issues over some stupid code. Adam
Don't we have a TOS? Indeed, however that's aimed at regular members, was meaning the staff who post tutorials. And yes, It would be of their best interest to hand the usage rights to the current administration, I doubt they'd want to be blammed with possible copyright issues over some stupid code. I wouldn't necessarily agree with that, but I see what you're saying. I only really asked out of curiosity. Would it be (officially or morally) wrong to re-use the tutorial in their own personal website, or something of that nature?
