bleustreak12
My website seems to run properly on all browsers except ie8 It seems that javascript is not working in ie8 unless i make my site trusted. Is there a way around it I cannot ask everybody who sees my site to add my site in their trusted sites list.?

RichardRotterdam
What does the javascript code look like? Normally javascript shouldn't be an issue for ie8
Mchl
Isn't it up to IE user to set what zone JavaScript is enabled in?
bleustreak12
you can check this site in ie8 without adding it to trusted site and after adding to trusted sites. check the silver menu bar. I have similar issues.

Tazerenix
http://support.microsoft.com/gp/howtoscript That page tells that you have to change your settings manually.but the issue is I cannot tell all my users to make the changes . what you could try and do is make some sort of VBScript that checks whether the javascript is working and if not alerts the user. I'm not entirely sure if thats possible though xD

Yeah. Exactly. It's up to them to decide if they want JavaScript to run on their browser or not.
reptone
I found below: 1. setting the site as "trusted site" 2. setting Active Script as "Warn" in Internet zone 3. setting Active Script as "enabled" in Trusted Site even the site is registered as "trusted" site, i saw 2 script warning popups. it seems that some codes make IE determine the site as Internet site.
