am i the only one seeing too many adverts looking for a partner/programmer/designer for the ALL NEW WEB 2.0 IMPROVED SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES COMBINING THE BEST ELEMENTS OF MYSPACE AND THE OTHER BEST SITES OUT THERE?  THE NEXT BEST SITE!  AND IT USES WEB 2.0!!  (which is...  AJAX?  as far as i can tell?)

perhaps i have a faulty logic, but can there not only be so many of those sites out there?  furthermore, how can one possibly hope to compete with the sheer momentum of these sites (whether your product is "better" or not)?

just wondering if anyone else shares this sentiment.

while i'm on a rant, i'll add that i'm tired of this web 2.0 crap.

over and out.

I agree, unless you're building a project like this to showcase your skills or something, you're wasting your time. Actually, even if it's just to fill a portfolio, you're wasting your time. No one has the budget to compete with MySpace regardless if you're site is better or not - and it probably is better, MySpace is crap ;)

Nice link akitchin, haha!

Heh, you're not the only one who don't like "Web 2.0". Somebody made this site (WARNING: The url and site contains a "bad word"): click

I better watch out since some mod told me to watch my language when I spelled out the acronym "rtfm".
