tendouser
Is it a good idea to replace PS and AI for this named Fireworks software? Thanks! Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/243622-adobe-fireworks/ Share on other sites
Zane
PS, AI and Fireworks are all part of the same package. In other words, they all *can* work together. Philip
Depends on what you're wanting to do. For web design, Fireworks has fulfilled almost all my need. Creating page designs and such are super easy in FW and I love using it. However, logos / icons that are in vector format - you need AI, and photo manipulation you'll need PS. There really isn't a "one-size-fits-all" solution. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/243622-adobe-fireworks/#findComment-1250827 Share on other sites
.josh
Adobe has actually done a pretty amazing job at integrating their tools together so that you can pull something in from one tool to another (p.s.- as Zane alluded to, all 3 PS, AI and FW are all Adobe products and unless you buy them individually, all 3 of them are included in most of Adobe's packages). JKG
i started on fireworks mx. now i use photoshop for pretty much everything, i used to just use FW for exporting images, then i realised PS has great 'Save for web and devices' option, which reduces file sizes to a bear minimum. i prefer the way PS uses layers, i think thats pretty much it: preference. they both can do most jobs. .josh
I currently have Adobe Master Collection CS3...I've been trying to get my employer to pony up CS5 for a while now, but so far it seems the only way they will readily do it is if I basically promise to start doing things with some of the programs in the collection that I currently have little to no experience in :/ Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/243622-adobe-fireworks/#findComment-1252705 Share on other sites
