Christian F.
Hello, and welcome to PHPfreaks and the world of PHP! I'm sure you'll find this forum quite helpful, at least if you've put forth some effort yourself. We tend to be friendly as well, as long as you don't poke at us with sticks. BuildMyWeb
highly recommend the Visual Quicksart guide on php as a beginner's reference. after that, something a bit more comprehensive is PHP and MySQL Web Development by Welling and Thomson. rather large but packed with good stuff on more advanced php and mysql databases Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/267358-old-codger-learning-php/#findComment-1371791 Share on other sites

Good advice learning is watching video tutorials at night and suck in all the information you possibly can, sometimes you wake up, or sleep you will have visions of what you can do with the multi demi arrays/mysql assoc functions/etc/etc, helps alot with designing and coming up with ideas, good luck !
