Nolongerused3921
After a defacement a month or so ago, I decided that landatwar.com needed to be redone (Lost the psd, a few errors in it, and it was 450kb+ :p).Heres the new landatwar.com: http://www.landatwar.com/newSince the link above is only an incomplete html version (To show off header), heres a screen of the psd: http://www.landatwar.com/new/site.png (Pardon the temporary text... The designer wasn't aware of lorem ipsum :p)Also finally got around to (having someone else :p) design a new eyesoute.com.Here it is: http://www.eyesoute.com/newI'm looking for any and all criticisms and comments on both sites. ThanksNote: I almost forgot... Seeing as the old site is DOWN and won't be coming back up, I thought I'd link to the wiki and the forums, so you have a better idea what the landatwar site is for. The eyesoute is a company site, that I plan on using as a portal to showcase all of our games, developer journals, surveys, downloads, a news letter, etc.Note #2: I could really use some help modifying a mediawiki theme to go with the landatwar design (I want to take the header, including the links, from the main folder and include them into media wiki, but can't find any reference in the mediawiki docs, to doing something like this.) redbullmarky
apart from the point you've already made, about being incomplete, i dont really have too many complaints. both are clean and well laid out and breath very well. for a dark site, i think you've managed to get eyesoute looking quite good, although i'd like to see something more than black and white.the proof in the pudding though is always what happens when the site gets its live content, as the random nature of real articles and images can either make or break the best and worst templates. Nolongerused3921
Thanks, any tips for more colors on the eyesoute site?
Philip
Eyesoute:-The hover over color could use a little tweaking... There is no blue anywhere else on the site, but that isn't a big thing.-Where you have "+ Home" I would make that a link and post it to a page that showed something from all of the links in that category (if that makes sense.) 448191
Pay attention to readability. Content and background should have high contrast. If you insist on using a dark background, use light coloured text, if not white.
