trq
It is intentional. http://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/142052-please-read-before-posting-here/
davidannis
While I understand the intent of the limitations on the freelance postings I think that perhaps they should be relaxed. I posted a thread offering free programming for non-profits and it has worked out well for me. However, after a couple months I would love to be able to go in and edit it to change the title to something more relevant to the content of the post and to remove a reference to future availability that is now in the past. In a few more months, I'd bet searchers will begin not to look at freelance posts that old, and in a year I may have skills that I don't have now that I'd like to offer. Could the restriction be relaxed to allow a user to update their post quarterly?
Philip
You have the power to reply to your own threads now, or at least you should. I'm still not sold on allowing editing though
