Richard_Grant
I would like to have the option of thanking people by the press of a button. Currently there is a like button but that's entirely different than a thank you button. requinix
Is it different? They get points on their profile, it puts your name on the post (if you're one of the first), they get a little notification that someone liked their post... kicken
As far as I am concerned they serve the same purpose. Having two different buttons would just be unnecessary clutter. You can be thank full and not like something Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/290934-request-thank-you-button-feature/#findComment-1490446 Share on other sites
Jacques1
The point of the “Like” button as I understand it is to mark excellent replies and allow knowledgeable users to build up a reputation. Whether you're thankful or not, happy with the post or not isn't really relevant. You simply acknowledge technical advice. Let's not forget this is a programming forum. It's not a social media platform. 1 Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/290934-request-thank-you-button-feature/#findComment-1490450 Share on other sites
