Souleater
I want to build a simple flat file as in (I dont want it to complex) "tiny_mce or Quill" news editor for my website with a simple AdminĀ what I want is to log in, the editor display news.html or news.txt even, edit it not overwriting it, and save it with a Save Button. The simpler the better, I have tried for days to make Newscoop work with nothing but headaches. Can anyone help me? I have a news service that I used years back, but it's php is way out dated. ginerjm
You want to 'build' a flat file or you want to 'edit' a flat file and what do you propose to use for this a simple text editor that you already have on your pc or you want to write a php script to do this what have you written so far that would help to help you out and what does 'tiny_mce or Quill' mean Edited October 23, 2023 by ginerjm
requinix
What kind of "news" are you talking about? What does it look like? What information is part of the news item, by which I mean things like author names or publish dates or tags or banner images... Because unless you literally want the most basic-looking "news" ever, you're going to need something more than just plain text. Because "build a simple flat file" is an implementation decision, and how can you decide that if you don't even know yet what you want implemented?
