michaellunsford
Okay, so PS3 is scheduled to hit in Q1 of 2007 (Someone said February, maybe?). So, what about Sudio 9? You know, Dreamweaver, Flash, etc. Flash player has been on version 9 for months.Any insights? ober
Umm... PS3 is already out in the US... has been for over a month. And what does that have to do with Adobe??? michaellunsford
The upcoming release of PhotoShop is currently in public beta. Live date is supposed to be scheduled for Q1 2007. I'm curious if there are any rumblings on the Macromedia side. ober
You should really use something other than "PS3" to describe photoshop since that's the name of a gaming console.Also.... would it kill YOU to search the Adobe site? michaellunsford
Been watching and searched the adobe site for months. Only information I have come across says: "Adobe has a corporate policy of not commenting on future ship dates... we can point to our consistent track record of releasing significant upgrades to our creative professional applications every 18-24 months."Studio 8 was announced in August of '05, so that puts 18 months right on for February of '07.I'd hate to drop $400 on a Studio 8 upgrade and have Studio 9 get announced 91 days later. redbullmarky
i've not seen anything on it apart from rumoured features (http://www.itwriting.com/blog/?postid=451) but agreed, it is a bit nasty when you buy a product and a very short time later the new version comes out for pretty much the same price. As the versions are getting higher though, "essential" features are kinda getting much less - so DW9 seems to be suggesting that AJAX/Blog support will be built in, but I dont reckon that'd be enough to get me in. Ninjakreborn
I can't wait for the whole macromedia suite 9, I can tell you that.Especially seeing they might have a whole new level of syntax highlighting, and a whole new level of code completion, that works even better. Maybe even heavy code completion for OOP since i am starting to get into it, I can't wait to see what all they are doing, and if they heavily updated all the reference charts, and everything. Ninjakreborn
I am scared of beta versions now, and since my current photoshop is giving me problems, I have to hold out. I might give it a try shortly, (after I get a more powerful computer. THanks for the link, I can't wait for macromedia to release all of that. Ninjakreborn
Is that a place you can still request features for dreamweaver 9, or does macromedia not do that.
