no courtesy when one responds

Recommended Posts

I guess what you're hoping for is good old-fashioned politeness.  The 'me' generation has mostly lost that - if they ever learned it in the first place.  I'm much more likely to help someone a second time if they appreciated the time spent helping them the first time.

ditto with what Andy said. Unfortunately, there's really no way of enforcing it. I take most of my pleasure knowing that, even though the OP might be ungrateful and never come back again unless they're ready to take-take-take again, someone else will read it.

Although they don't reply in politeness, they will be going away knowing that you have helped them well, it's like everything in life people appreciate others for loads of little things but don't always say it out loud.

Hopefully them not replying won't stop you from helping. :)
